Q: Â I click on a button or link and Internet Explorer spins for a bit, then says it can't display the page. A: Â Since we can be certain that the webmaster is without error, let's look at the most likely cause: Â Internet Explorer. Â Seriously - Internet Explorer has been a capital pain in the arse of hardworking web guys since IE ... well, I can't remember back far enough. IE 7 was very buggy and Microsoft largely disavowed that it would even trouble itself to fix the bugs. Â It was too busy creating the next Webenstein - IE 8. IE 8 has a new feature that might help you. Â Compatibility Mode. Â If you enable Compatibility Mode for this website, most things get better. Â In fact, this site has code that attempts to force Compatbility Mode when possible. To learn more about IE 8 and Compatibility Mode, Click Here. If you are really daring, though, you might want to try other browsers (at your own risk, of course) who do not aspire to force themselves upon web guys and just run the old code just fine. Â
